My Erasmus Angers 2024

Family and friends  When I was on France I met lots of Juliette's family and friends. At the school I met most of his friends. When we went to Juliette's run I met some more of her friends. Another day we went to a house of a friend of her and we had a snack. And when we went to the Cristmas market on Craon I met her grand uncles, uncles, cousins and grandparents. On my trip to Paris we went with Juliette's cousins and uncles and it was an incredible trip.Also I met some of her parents' friends, because once we went to have dinner with them at their house, we had a great time and the food was delicious. Another friends also came to our house to have a snack and we after had lunch all together.

  Activities We did lots of activities all the exchange students together. For example we went bowling one morning and we had a lot of fun. Another day at the afternoon we went to watch a basketball play of one of the exchange students and after that we went to his house to have dinner all together. We also did kayak together because one of the exchange students was part of a club of kayak, we had a lot of fun but the weather wasn't good, it was freezing. Also once we met when we were visiting the castle of Angers that was all decorated for Christmas and had a craftmarket.

  Sport events When I was in France I went to two different competitions,,almost three. The first one was a footbal match, the middle child of the family I was with was playing in the cup of France on a team. They lost, but even that it was a fun experience. Because after the match we went to the bar of the pitch and there were all the people that were supporting their team even they had lost and being desqualified. Another day we went to Juliette's trail running, it was very exciting but here was a lot of mud so I almost felt, Juliette did amazing and she was the fourth. It was a big run with people from all over the region and lots of clubs. I almost went to another trail, but it was raining and the floor was frozen, so Juliette's mum and I decided to stay at home.

  Transports in Angers People in France travel in lots of diferentes ways. In Anger they had lots of buses that went from the small villages to the center of Angers. There were lots of diferentes ways to get to school, depending on the time that you had to arrive you could get one or another. They had also three lines of trams that could get you anywhere you wanted. Some people arrived school by bike, scooter or motorcycle because in the school there was a parking where they could leave them. There were also people who came by car, they use mini cars that have a maximum of 45km/h that can drive people above 14 years old. This cars also exist in Spain, but we are not used to watch them.

Decorating the house  When December started all the city and the villages started to decorate for Christmas with lights, Christmas markets and funfairs. When it was time to decorate the house my host father brought a giant tree, it was real, not fake like I am use to decorate my house with. It was so high that almost couldn't fit on the living room. We decorate it during the afternoon, also the windows and stairs of the house with stickers, lights and tinsels, there was also a garland on the front door of the house. We had a great time that day, the most complicated part was reach to the top of the tree to put the star, my host father almost felt down.

  Christmas on France When I was in France the Christmas season started, and I did and saw lots of different traditions that they have. For example I visited three different Christmas markets. One was a Chinese market in Paris that had Christmas decorations and typical Chinese food. Another one was in Angers in the square of the theater that had lots of stands with food and decorations, there was also a carousel, all the city was decorated for Christmas with Christmas lights. And the last one that I visited was in Craon, a small village with a big and typical market with traditional and home made products, it was beautiful and very full. One curiosity is that on Christmas time French people drink hot wine for getting warm.
